Temporary Communities Correspondence Files, 1943-1964, (bulk 1950-1964).

Files (1943-1964) contain correspondence and reports regarding the work of pastors, parish workers, and division officials and staff in ministry to temporary communities. "General" and "workers" files include project activity reports, project surveys, publicity articles, church bulletins, and church newsletters sent to division officials by pastors and parish workers in specific communities; and inter-divisional correspondence regarding the program. Also included are files concerning specific communities and ministerial acts performed therein. The last file in the series contains brochures and a manual published by the Division regarding its temporary community program and churches' responsibility to minister to people "on the move." Correspondents include parish workers A.M. Eidbo and Berdella Shesseby; and the. Reverends Nels Bergstrom and Ernest N. Haugse. Division executive secretary H. Conrad Hoyer is also a primary correspondent.
